It’s very cold outside… So it’s time for a Hot Buttered Rum!
This old warm drink sounds strange, but it’s rich, thick, comforting, and somehow decadent. It’s made with a mix of spices (allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg), sugar, butter, rum and hot water, which melts the butter, dissolves the sugar and dilutes the alcohol. I like to tweak a little bit the recipes, and this time I’ve browned the butter to give an extra layer of nutty flavour, and I’ve used sugar cane and Kraken dark rum.
Cheers!
